Alpha Academy was born from a journey—one that started with a suitcase full of hope, a simple A1 German certificate, and a one-way ticket to a host family in Germany. What began as a year as an au pair, soon evolved into a voluntary social year, and later, a fulfilling experience as a university student in Germany. Each chapter brought growth, challenge, and transformation—but most importantly, it lit a fire: the desire to help others find their way too.
From that personal journey came the realisation that many young people in Africa, particularly Zimbabwe, dream of living, studying, or working in Germany—but often lack clear guidance, support, or access to the right opportunities. Alpha Academy was created to bridge that gap.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to connect people, experiences, and places. We do this by providing realistic, accessible pathways to Germany—whether through au pairing, university studies, or apprenticeship training (Ausbildung)—and backing those journeys with the language training, mentorship, and visa support needed to make them possible.
Over the years, we’ve had the honour of guiding hundreds of students who have now relocated to Germany and are thriving—some as au pairs, others enrolled in world-class universities, and many as skilled apprentices starting meaningful careers.
Each success story fuels our passion even more. And as our community continues to grow, so does our commitment to walking the journey with you—from your first German class to first day in Germany, and beyond.

Growing Global Footprint
What began as a small, passionate initiative to support au pairs from Zimbabwe has grown into a regional movement of opportunity and transformation. Today, Alpha Academy proudly represents not only au pairs, but also university students and apprentices from across the SADC region—including Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia, and beyond.
We are both humbled and grateful for this journey of growth. It has been made possible by the trust of our students, the loyalty of our partners, and most of all, the dedication of an incredible team that has poured heart and hard work into every milestone.
From placing our first au pair to supporting hundreds of young people on their journey to Germany, we’ve remained true to our mission: to open doors and walk alongside each individual with integrity, care, and excellence.
